What Mini MBA awards
A short course, not a qualification. It surveys the core management functions — strategy, finance, marketing, operations, people — at an introductory depth. The name is marketing language, and no university awards a “Mini MBA” as a degree.

Eight to sixteen weeks, part-time, usually a few hours a week.

You have just started managing a function you were never taught.
The engineer who now runs a P&L is the single most common and most legitimate candidate.
You need vocabulary before a bigger commitment.

Understanding what a balance sheet is doing is worth a term’s work, whatever the course is called.
When it is the wrong choice. It is not an MBA, it is not equivalent to one, and describing it as one on a CV will cost you more credibility than the course earns. If a rulebook or a promotion policy is what you are trying to clear, this route does not clear it.
The rule that actually applies
There is nothing to recognise, and providers who imply otherwise should be avoided. No regulator entitles a mini MBA, because it is not a degree. Judge it purely on the teaching and the issuing name, and be direct with yourself about why you are drawn to a product that borrows another qualification’s name.
What it costs
Typically ₹5,000 to ₹50,000. Brand-led versions from well-known business schools run higher, and there the name on the certificate is genuinely most of what you are buying.
